Honda CBR 1100X | 1996

The Honda CB1100X was one of the first "Super Bikes" to ever be created leaving an undeniable mark on a whole generation of motorcycle enthusiasts. Before the Hayabusa was crowned king, this was the bike that held the speed record.

Reaching an incredible 310kmh this 4 cylinder bike was scary fast especially considering the suspension and braking technology of the era. Despite having superbike like performance, this bike was considered a sport touring bike offering plenty of comfort for long trips.

This Tamiya kit is a faithful representation of the bike however not quite as detailed as many other kits of the brand. One of the highlights for me was the front fairing. Extremely well molded and included some wire mesh for the air intake.
